Rob Anderson (Term ends in 2013)

Robert A. Anderson has lived in Boise since 1977 and has had the pleasure of being a member of the Coop since 1978. He has spent his entire legal career in Idaho and is a founding partner in the Boise law firm of Anderson, Julian & Hull LLP. Rob specializes in civil litigation and construction law. In addition to serving on the Coop Board, he is a member of the Design Review Board for the City of Boise and is a charter member of the City Club, as well as serving on the original Board of Directors of Idaho Attorneys Against  Hunger and Idaho Partners for Justice. Rob believes that the Coop is an important part of what makes Boise a unique and interesting place to live and joined the Board in 2008 to ensure that it continues to be so. randerson@boisecoop.com


Dr. David Eberle (Term ends in 2012)

A native of Boise, Idaho, Dr. Eberle is currently the director of the Environmental Finance Center at Boise State University. After graduating from The Colorado College and receiving a MA from the University of New Mexico, David began his professional career in the Treasure Valley in 1978 with Idaho Power. In 1983 Dr. Eberle left Idaho Power to reinstate The College of Idaho Economics Department and taught full time over the next ten years. In December of 1995 Dr. Eberle completed his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska and shortly after began a consulting firm that he operated for 15 years. David has also been involved in the local community sharing his time and expertise over the years. He has been an incorporator for the Boise Improvement District, Idaho Small Business Development Center, and The Land Trust of the Treasure Valley. And, most recently David was elected to the Boise City Council and serves on the board of the Capital City Development Corporation. W_Eberle@msn.com

Pat Haas (Term ends in 2014)

Pat retired from the food service industry several years ago. His foodservice career ranged from owning a small retail storefront to the Presidency of Foresight Partners LLC and All Kitchens, Inc., national marketing firms providing food and services to wholesalers across the U.S.  Pat’s co-op experience started over 35 years ago in Texas where he helped start neighborhood co-ops through an umbrella co-op and did the food purchasing for the group. Pat has been a Boise resident for 25 years and currently serves on the board of the Idaho Conservation League and Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity. Gary Lyons (Term ends in 2012)

Mr. Lyons has been a Co-op member for many years. He has a well diversified engineering and financial management background in construction, information technology, marketing and financial investment. A long-time Boise resident, he remains active in several non-profit organizations providing educational, artistic and athletic opportunities for young people in our community. gary@boisecoop.com

Alex McNish (Term ends in 2013)

Alex has lived, worked, played, and raised two children in the Treasure Valley during the past thirty-seven years. She wears numerous hats, including  Certified Professional Mediator as Administrator for Idaho Mediation Association, Inc.;  Producer, Director, Camera, Editor for McNish Productions; and English Teacher to Adult Speakers of Other Languages. Alex’s community involvement includes the Idaho Peace Coalition, where she’s on the Spokes Council and is the Producer/Host and videographer of “Peace Talks”, a TVCTV Program. She is also the Executive Director of Treasure Valley Community Television, Action Committee Chair of Idaho Media Professionals, and Facilitator and Producer of Reel Women of the West. alexmcnish@mac.com

Joanna Madden (Term Ends 2012)

Joanna is a marketing and sales professional with 13 years of experience in launching product brands, building brand images, and developing the retail businesses for those brands.  She has been a member of the Co-op for 12 years, and always makes it one of the first stops when introducing visitors to Boise.  Joanna plans to use her experience and belief in the Co-op’s position as a cornerstone of our community to propel the store into what she has described as “the city’s most prominent resource for products and food education, while achieving the highest standards of service to a thriving and growing membership.” joannam.boisecoop@gmail.com

John Medlin (Term Ends 2013)

John has been a member of the Co-op since 1975 and is currently a CPA and partner at Medlin, Beveridge and Eastlake C.P.A. John was an Associate Professor of Accounting and Tax at BSU from 1970 to 2000 and was highly regarded by his students for his teaching skills. As John has written regarding his position on the Co-op Board, “I see it as an opportunity to learn and to bring my financial expertise to bear at a time when such input seems both necessary and desirable. Beyond my financial management and accounting background, I come with a strong interest in and commitment to local food. I have participated directly and indirectly with the local food movement for several years, and am very interested in the Co-op’s future role in that movement.”  jjmedlin@aol.com

Carole Skinner (Term Ends 2014)

Carole is the owner and operator of The Flicks. The Flicks first opened September 21, 1984, and at that time had one screen, the café and patio. The Flicks has been voted Best Place to Watch a Movie in Boise numerous times. The Flicks has also been recognized with The Mayor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts in 1997, The Elm Award from the gay community as the most supportive, non-gay business in 1991, 1994, 1996 and 2001. Carole Skinner received United Vision for Idaho’s Most Progressive Businessperson of the Year Award in 2002, and was honored in 2009 with the Teevee Award from Idaho’s Public Access Television Station. TJ StevensTJ Stevens (Term ends in 2014)

TJ has been a Boise Co-op member since 2004, and as an advocate of the local food movement believes the Co-op plays an important role in providing products, education and outreach to our community. She is a manager at REI, where she has developed systems and processes that ensure an efficient and profitable business, and is the Education Director for the Boise Rec Fest. TJ brings to the Board a fresh perspective, a proven track record in business planning, and a passion for sustainable, local foods. Her distinct skills and experience as a business leader and champion of change are assets in keeping the Co-op relevant, competitive, and effective in the face of competition. tasteve@rei.com
