Do you know about our monthly Shop for Good day?

It gets down to simple karma, doesn’t it? You do well by doing good. And in our little corner of Southwest Idaho, we have a host of organizations who do a lot of good for a lot of people — a concept we heartily endorse, and do our best to follow.

Which is why we created our Shop for Good program. Once a month, 4% of our total store and Wine Shop sales, up to $2,500,  is donated to a local non-profit. Here’s how the process works:

Qualifying non-profit organizations fill out the Shop for Good application. Once we’ve reviewed the applicants to ensure that they meet 501(c)3 criteria and are consistent with the values expressed in the Boise Co-op Mission Statement, the organization is added to our queue on a first-come/first-served basis. When their turn comes they’ll be our Shop for Good recipient!

We announce the Shop for Good organization in our email newsletter on the first of each month, and follow up with a story on our website and reminders on our Facebook page, so you’ll have plenty of time to plan your shopping accordingly.
