A personal struggle with cystic acne inspired founder Annie Tevelin to rethink her approach to skincare. While working as a professional makeup artist, she studied cosmetic chemistry at UCLA and began formulating products that ultimately transformed her own skin. That experience became the foundation for SkinOwl, a Boise-based skincare company focused on simple, effective formulas and meaningful self-care. Today, its plant-based collection is 100% vegan and cruelty-free, with education and transparency central to the brand.
