Community Impact
The Boise Co-op Market has made giving back a priority since we were founded in 1973.
Over the last few years, we've leveled up how we invest in programs and organizations, playing the long game to build a community future that lines up with what we stand for.

How we invest in OUR COMMUNITY
The Boise Co-op Market has always made giving back to our surrounding community a priority. We believe meaningful change grows slowly and sustainably and starts locally, so we’ve focused our investments on community programs and partnerships rooted deep in shared values and long-term impact.
Local Partner Fund
The Boise Co-op Local Partner Fund is a grant that helps create a healthier community by supporting vendors through customer Round Up donations once a year. These investments do more than support individual businesses, they strengthen the entire ecosystem - it’s a direct connection. When we invest in our partners, we improve what ends up on your plate.
Round Up Program
Our Round Up at the register initiative is a tried and true customer favorite, and a super easy and straightforward way for you, the customer, to give back to the community. All you need to do is let your cashier know you would like to “Round Up” to the nearest dollar. The Boise Co-op Market will match donations now up to $5,000, doubling the impact for our local nonprofits!
Community Donations
The Boise Co-op Market is proud to invest in a healthier, more sustainable community by supporting local nonprofits, schools, and grassroots organizations. We focus our outreach in three key areas: local food system development, food nutrition and education, environmental sustainability, and community building and inclusion. Each year, we contribute over $45,000 in financial and in-kind donations to groups doing meaningful work in our region.
Co-op Coffee
We’ve partnered with local coffee vendor and roaster Cafe Mule to create four unique and custom blends of coffee for our Boise Co-op Coffee Program. For every pound of those particular blends we sell, one dollar is donated to the Ridge to Rivers Trail System. You can find all four on our shelves in-store, you can just ask one of us to point you in the right direction.
