LOCAL PARTNER FUND IN ACTION
We’re here to keep good food and good work rooted locally
In 2025, the Boise Co-op Local Partner Fund awarded $30,000 to five local producers, supporting projects that strengthen the quality, reliability, and sustainability of the food you see on our shelves every day.
What it looks like in action
These weren’t abstract ideas; they were practical investments with real outcomes:
A local farm improved irrigation systems to conserve water and produce more consistent, high-quality crops
A hydroponic grower strengthened their cold chain, keeping greens fresher for longer
A kombucha producer brought key processing in-house, improving quality and reducing waste
A family farm stabilized yields through more efficient water use
A local producer protected their inventory with backup refrigeration, preventing loss and ensuring reliability
Each project solved a real problem and helped create a stronger, more resilient local food system.
Why it matters
These investments do more than support individual businesses, they strengthen the entire ecosystem:
Better quality food through improved handling, storage, and production
Less waste through smarter systems and infrastructure
More reliable local supply, even as conditions change
Greater access to fresh, ethically produced food for our community
It’s a direct connection: when the Boise Co-op Market invests in our partners, we improve what ends up on your plate.
