Reverse Sear Prime Rib

Juicy, tender, and perfectly seared! This Reverse Sear Prime Rib is the ultimate centerpiece for your next special occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 4 lb bone-in prime rib

  • 3-4 tablespoons Montreal Steak Seasoning

  • Fresh thyme for garnish

Instructions:

Pat the prime rib dry and season all over with Montreal Steak Seasoning.

Place on a wire rack and refrigerate uncovered overnight. This helps create that beautiful crust!

Take the roast out of the fridge about 1 hour before cooking. Preheat the oven to 250°F.

Place the prime rib bone-side down in a roasting pan and cook for about 2½–2¾ hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 118–120°F for medium-rare.

Remove from the oven and let it rest uncovered for 20–30 minutes.

Turn the oven up to 500°F and pop the roast back in for about 5 minutes to get that gorgeous browned crust!

Slice it up and serve with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or your favorite holiday sides! Enjoy!
